Integrated Management Policy

Bodegas Peñascal built its reputation in its early years by producing and marketing aromatized, quinine-based wines and vermouths, among which Sansón stands out. It later became one of the most successful projects in the history of Spanish winemaking, serving as a benchmark in the production of rosé wines and specializing in lightly sparkling wines through its Peñascal brand. Today, at its Laguna de Duero facility, the company is strongly committed to innovation and the development of new products such as canned and dealcoholized wines.

In environmental matters, sustainability is a fundamental guiding principle of the company’s activities. At a national level, it stands out as one of the wineries that calculate and verify the product carbon footprint.

Bodegas Peñascal maintains a philosophy and way of working that extends to all aspects of its operations, reflected in clear commitments:

  • To embrace the three core pillars of sustainability: generating economic well-being, improving environmental performance, and demonstrating responsibility toward society.
  • To meet customer requirements in order to achieve their satisfaction, by understanding their needs and expectations and always acting with professionalism, ethics, and transparency; and to establish effective communication channels with clients and consumers regarding our products and services.
  • To promote research and the development of new products that meet customer and consumer expectations, always ensuring quality and safety.
  • To comply with applicable legislation and regulations, customer-imposed requirements, and internally established standards.
  • To meet all internal and product-related requirements, including those related to food safety, quality, legality, and authenticity, as well as all mutually agreed processes and specifications with customers.
  • To set objectives aligned with improving food safety, environmental well-being, pollution prevention, and environmental protection, as well as ensuring efficient management of resources and waste, providing all necessary information and resources to achieve these objectives and comply with this policy.
  • To periodically review the effectiveness of the implemented Integrated Management System through continuous improvement, adopting the necessary actions to achieve efficiency and excellence in management.
  • To train and raise awareness among employees at all levels, establishing appropriate communication and participation channels; always respecting the equality plan, professional and personal ethics, and a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination and sexual or workplace harassment, with the aim of enhancing skills in their roles and strengthening knowledge of food safety culture, quality, risk prevention, and sustainability.
  • To advance in the procurement of high-quality products and services and in collaboration with suppliers who comply with our code of conduct for suppliers, partners, and subcontractors.
  • To promote the values of winemaking and our products, and to encourage the expansion of wine culture in society and responsible consumption.
  • To establish best practices for the prevention and protection against food fraud.
